北极地区与中国交流与合作日益频繁与密切，交流合作促进会也应运而生。不仅将为北极地区的交流提供了最为顺畅的渠道，也为促进北欧与中国的合作提供了最好的平台。

Announcing China-Finland future oriented new-type cooperative partnership jointly by presidents of both countries in 2017, China and Finland have undertaken unprecedentedly close cooperation in aspects such as education, tourism, trade and investment etc., particularly consisting of 2019 China Finland Year of Winter Sports, integration between China’s “13th Five-Year Plan” and Finland’s “Vision: Finland 2025”, as well as between “Belt and Road Initiative” and “Arctic Corridor” region.

Arising interests are seen from Finnish society towards Chinese culture, art, education, tourism, medical care, trade etc., resulting from the more connected bilateral relation, similarly China becomes more familiar with Finland while Chinese people are favouring travel to the arctic region including Finland, and appreciating the unique arctic scenic spots, lifestyle and attitude.

With the trend of increasing communication between China and Finland, Arctic-China Exchange and Cooperation Association (ACECA) is established in northern Finland to promote exchange and cooperation between the Arctic region and China, Finland and China, initially among northern Finland, the Gulf of Bothnia region and China.
